ReelGoodTimez Inshore Charters is a locally owned and operated charter based out of Surf City, North Carolina. Captained by 19-year-old Hunter Griffeth, ReelGoodTimez was built from a lifelong passion for fishing the inshore waters of coastal North Carolina. Hunter has grown up in Surf City his entire life, fishing these waters and learning them season by season.
Hunter is a USCG-certified captain with deep knowledge of the local tides, seasons, and fisheries. Years spent on the water have shaped his approach, with a strong focus on safety, professionalism, and putting clients on fish while keeping the experience fun and relaxed.
Our 18' Kenner V-Hull is a proven fishing machine-stable, reliable, and perfectly suited for inshore and near shore waters around Topsail Island. Powered by a brand new 2024 Suzuki 90HP outboard, it delivers smooth, quiet performance to get you to the fish quickly and comfortably.

What should we bring on our fishing charter?
We recommend bringing sunscreen, sunglasses, drinks, snacks, and a hat. Everything needed for fishing will be provided. - We will have a cooler full of waters for you!
Do we need a fishing license?
No. Your fishing license is covered under the charter, so you don’t need to purchase one separately.
Where do we meet for the charter?
We use several launch spots around Topsail Island to get the best conditions. Common meet-up locations include North Topsail, Surf City, South Topsail, and Sloop Point. Don’t worry—we’ll send you the exact meeting location ahead of time.
Do you provide fishing gear and bait?
Yes. We provide rods, reels, tackle, and bait for the trip. Everything you need to fish is included.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Safety always comes first. If weather conditions are unsafe, we will reschedule your trip or offer another available date.
